Biblical Foundation — 1 Corinthians 13:1–13
The heart of the presentation is Paul's teaching on love (read in Indonesian). Its key movements: without love, even the greatest gifts — eloquence, prophecy, knowledge, mountain-moving faith, and sacrifice — are worthless and gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous, boastful, proud, rude, self-seeking, or easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. It does not rejoice in injustice but in truth, and it bears, believes, hopes, and endures all things. Love never ends — while knowledge and prophecy are incomplete and will pass away, love remains. Of the three that endure — faith, hope, and love — the greatest is love.
Core Message
Three framing statements set the tone: "Without love, even our greatest efforts lose their deepest meaning," "Apathy is often the silent enemy of love," and "Straight from the Heart, Reaching the Heart." These lead to a central self-examination question for teachers: "What is preventing me from loving?"
Redefine Love
The presentation invites teachers to redefine what love means in each relationship they carry — love for God, for others, for my students, for my school, and for my colleagues — moving love from an abstract idea into daily practice.
Renewed Calling
A prayer of recommitment: may we rediscover why we were called to teach, redefine love in our daily practice, and may our classrooms become places where faith, hope, and love are not only taught, but lived.
