Academics

Early childhood program

Charis provides an innovative early childhood education for Toddlers, Preschool, and Kindergarten A and B. All of our teachers are licensed and trained to educate young children. The curriculum emphasizes the uniqueness and creativity of every child and fosters curiosity and a love for learning.

Influenced by the Montessori philosophy of education, the curriculum develops natural interests and talents through interesting and fun activities. Children learn through all five senses which prepares them to advance in science, athletics and creative arts. Learning centers provide concrete lessons that match their abilities and interests.

Elementary school

The Charis Elementary School provides an energetic, positive and active environment for children to learn and grow.

Our students are encouraged to ask questions and they often work in groups for special projects. They have active discussions, share ideas and collaborate to create presentations that nurture self-confidence, leadership and critical thinking skills. In addition to traditional academics Charis students study art, music, physical education and advance their computer skills.

Junior high school

SMP Charis has been using Kurikulum Merdeka, the newest educational framework in Indonesia, starting in 2022. Its core emphasis on nurturing character and creativity has ushered in a new era of holistic learning.

Additionally, SMP Charis is dedicated to biblical integration in the learning process, instilling moral and ethical values in students. Furthermore, SMP Charis provides a nurturing environment that helps students unearth their unique talents and strengths, allowing them to build self-confidence and a strong sense of purpose as they progress through their junior high education.

Senior high school

Charis Senior High School has been using the Kurikulum Merdeka since 2022. The new curriculum is developed to help the students explore themselves and help them find their strengths as God’s beloved creations.

Compared to the previous curriculum in which the academic program was divided into science & technology and social majors, the current curriculum focuses on developing the students based on their interests and talents. Students under the Kurikulum Merdeka can select focused subjects based on their areas of strength and desired future careers. We also offer Vocational Programs to further equip students with practical life skills in Business Entrepreneurship, Communications, and Applied Science.
